4th HLS brainstorming meeting: Heritage minority languages
The 4th Heritage Language Syntax Brainstorming meeting will take place on the 30th of March at 2pm.
Heritage languages are minority languages by definition. However, not all heritage languages have the same status: some emigrant heritage languages have a majority language as their baseline in another country, while others have a dialect or a minority language as their baseline in other parts of the world. In other words, heritage languages sometimes do not have a norm or a standardized versionin any form. This meeting aims to brainstorm how to approach data collection and analysis in languages that do not have a monolingual dominant counterpart and that are highly variable already in their original form.
The meeting will take place on MS Teams.
